ZeroDT FM-2

ZeroDT FM 2
  • Single loop or 2-wire protection inside a conduit enclosure for hazardous locations
  • Analog signals (4-20 mA), discrete digital inputs/signals, pulsed inputs/outputs, RS-485/422/232 & digital communications as well as DC power lines.

The FM-2 can be utilized as a ‘conduit junction box’ (with built-in surge protection) to install next to the device you want to protect.  The ZeroDT FM-2 is a solution for providing external overvoltage transient (surge) protection for a single pair of conductors such as the 4-20 mA current loop pair to/from a device, or the output signal pair of a flow meter,  or any 2 lines to/from other types of measurement devices.  The ZeroDT FM-2 consists of a Type 4X, cast aluminum enclosure designed for use in hazardous locations (Class 1, Div 1) that has a ZeroDT 24-2 unit mounted inside of the housing, along with a terminal block.  The ZeroDT 24-2 unit utilizes state-of-the-art advanced semiconductor SASD technology to provide fast, non-degrading protection against surges and lightning induced transients for each of the lines (conductors) with 1,200 Amps of 8/20 μs surge current protection.

  • Nominal Voltage:  24 Vdc
  • Max. Cont. Operating Voltage:  36 Vdc
  • Maximum Surge Current (Ipeak)
    • 8/20 µs, Line-to-Ground:  >1,200 Amps
    • 10/1000 µs, Line-to-Ground:  >130 Amps
  • Enclosure conduit openings:  Qty 2, ¾” NPT
  • Wiring:  Terminal block, #24 to #10 AWG conductors

ZeroDT FM-4

ZeroDT FM 4
  • 2 loop or 4-wire protection inside a conduit enclosure for hazardous locations
  • Analog signals (4-20 mA), discrete digital inputs/signals, pulsed inputs/outputs, RS-485/422/232 & digital communications as well as DC power lines.

The FM-4 can be utilized as a ‘conduit junction box’ (with built-in surge protection) to install next to the device you want to protect.  The ZeroDT FM-4 is a solution for providing external overvoltage transient (surge) protection for 2 pairs of conductors such as the power input pair and output signal pair of a flow meter, or the 2 pairs to a multi-variable transmitter, or up to 4 lines to/from other types of measurement devices.  The ZeroDT FM-4 consists of a Type 4X, cast aluminum enclosure designed for use in hazardous locations (Class 1, Div 1) that has two (2) of the ZeroDT 24-2 units mounted inside of the housing, along with a 4-position terminal block.  The ZeroDT 24-2 units utilize state-of-the-art advanced semiconductor SASD technology to provide fast, non-degrading protection against surges and lightning induced transients for each of the 4 lines (conductors) with 1,200 Amps of 8/20 μs surge current protection.

  • Nominal Voltage:  24 Vdc
  • Max. Cont. Operating Voltage:  36 Vdc
  • Maximum Surge Current (Ipeak)
    • 8/20 µs, Line-to-Ground:  >1,200 Amps
    • 10/1000 µs, Line-to-Ground:  >130 Amps
  • Enclosure conduit openings:  Qty 2, ¾” NPT
  • Wiring:  Terminal block, #24 to #10 AWG conductors

ZeroDT FM-8

ZeroDT FM 8 Interior
  • 4 loop or 8-wire protection inside a conduit enclosure for hazardous locations
  • Analog signals (4-20 mA), discrete digital inputs/signals, pulsed inputs/outputs, RS-485/422/232 & digital communications as well as DC power lines.

The FM-8 can be utilized as a ‘conduit junction box’ (with built-in surge protection) to install next to the device you want to protect.  The ZeroDT FM-8 is a solution for providing external overvoltage transient (surge) protection for up to 4 pairs of conductors in/out of a device such as the power input pair, output pulse signal pair of a flow meter as well as 2 more pairs for digital communications or alarms.  The ZeroDT FM-8 consists of a Type 4X, cast aluminum enclosure designed for use in hazardous locations (Class 1, Div 1) that has two (2) of the ZeroDT I/O-24 units mounted to a DIN rail inside of the housing.  The ZeroDT I/O-24 units utilize state-of-the-art advanced semiconductor SASD technology to provide each of the 8 lines with independent protection against surges and lightning induced transients that is extremely fast and non-degrading (each of the 8 lines has its own 1,200 Amps of 8/20 μs surge current protection).

  • Nominal Voltage:  24 Vdc
  • Max. Cont. Operating Voltage:  36 Vdc
  • Maximum Surge Current (Ipeak)
    • 8/20 µs, Line-to-Ground:  >1,200 Amps
    • 10/1000 µs, Line-to-Ground:  >130 Amps
